The Parish covers the rural village of Holmesfield and surrounding hamlets including Millthorpe, Cordwell, Horsleygate, Cartledge, Cowley and Fanshawgate. Parts of the Parish are located within the Peak District National Park, the parish comprises spectacular moorlands, farmland and woodlands.
The Parish Council has responsibility for the Village Hall and play areas at Holmesfield. Our Village Hall Letting Officer is

There are nine Councillors, whose contact details and portfolios can be found within the site. The Parish Council meets twelve times a year.
Meetings commence at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday of the month and are held at Holmesfield Village Hall.
